Grannis is a small Arkansas town of 691 people in the Ouachita Mountains foothills. Highway 71 runs north-south through town, connecting to Mena (20 miles north) and DeQueen (30 miles south), while Highway 4 provides east-west access. The area features dense forests and rolling hills typical of southwestern Arkansas. The town preserves a 1925 one-room schoolhouse that served local students for decades.
