Granite is a small farming town in southwestern Oklahoma's Greer County, positioned along the rolling plains near Texas. US Highway 9 runs east-west through town, connecting to Mangum and Altus, while State Highway 6 heads north-south toward Hollis. The restored 1920s movie theater downtown still shows weekend films with its original neon marquee intact.
