Grandfalls is a small West Texas oil town of 375 people in Ward County, accessible via Highway 18 from Interstate 20. Most traffic consists of short regional trips between Permian Basin communities like Monahans, Odessa, and Pecos. The town got its name from sand formations that early settlers mistook for waterfalls.
