Grand View is a tiny farming town in southwestern Idaho's high desert, about 80 miles southeast of Boise via I-84 and State Route 51. The main route takes you through Mountain Home, then south on SR-51 for 35 miles through sagebrush country along the Snake River. It's a gateway to the Owyhee Mountains and vast BLM lands popular with hunters and off-roaders. The town's 1913 one-room schoolhouse still stands as a testament to early homesteaders' dreams.
