Grand Tower is a small Mississippi River town in southern Illinois, about 75 miles from St. Louis via I-55 and Route 3. With just 500 residents, it's known for excellent river fishing and boating access. The town sits beside Tower Rock, an 85-foot limestone formation that's been a river navigation landmark since steamboat days and remains one of the most photographed spots on this stretch of the Mississippi.
