Granby is a mountain town at 8,280 feet in Colorado's Middle Park valley, serving as a gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park and Winter Park ski area. US Highway 40 is the main route, connecting to Denver 85 miles southeast via Berthoud Pass and Winter Park just 13 miles away. Lake Granby, the state's third-largest lake, borders the town and was built in 1950 for Front Range water diversion.
