Gramercy is a small industrial town along the Mississippi River, about 50 miles from New Orleans via I-10 west to Highway 3125. The scenic River Road (Highway 18) connects it to neighboring communities past historic plantations. This St. James Parish community of 2,800 is dominated by the massive Noranda Aluminum plant, one of North America's largest smelting operations.
