Gosport lies 45 miles southwest of Indianapolis along State Road 67, nestled in Owen County's rolling hills where the White River cuts through limestone bluffs. Most visitors arrive via SR 67 from Martinsville or take SR 46 from Bloomington to SR 67 north. The town's historic Gosport Dam creates a small waterfall where the 1840s Central Canal once operated.
