Gore is a small town in eastern Oklahoma along the Arkansas River, about 15 miles from Muskogee via Highway 10. Most visitors take US-64, which connects to Fort Smith, Arkansas (45 miles east) and provides access from Tulsa (75 minutes) or Oklahoma City (2 hours). The original 1902 railroad depot still stands downtown as a community center.
