Gordon is a small ranching town in Nebraska's Sandhills, about 25 miles east of Chadron on Highway 20. The town serves surrounding cattle operations and features the Mari Sandoz Heritage Center, dedicated to the famous author who chronicled frontier life in this unique grass-covered dune landscape.
