Goodwin is a tiny farming town of about 100 people in eastern South Dakota, eight miles from the Minnesota border. Take Highway 22 to reach it from Brookings (45 miles southwest via US-14) or Watertown (35 miles northwest via US-212). The 1902 white Lutheran church remains the town's most visible landmark from the highway.
