Good Hope is a small farming town in west-central Illinois, about 15 miles northeast of Macomb via County Road 2150N and US Route 67. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 74 (25 miles north) or through Macomb, which offers the nearest airport and university services. The rolling prairie landscape showcases classic Illinois agriculture. The town was named after Good Hope Presbyterian Church, founded by Scottish settlers in the 1830s who chose the biblical reference as their frontier beacon.
