Goldonna is a tiny community of about 400 people in Louisiana's pine country, 15 miles west of Natchitoches via Highway 156. The town sits in rolling timberland typical of north-central Louisiana, with the nearest major highway access at Interstate 49. Named for early settlers who combined the Gold family name with "Donna" for a daughter, it's one of Louisiana's more romantically christened small towns.
