Gold Hill is a small Rogue Valley community of 1,300 people between Medford and Grants Pass on I-5. Access via State Route 234 from the interstate, about 15 miles from Medford Airport. The town sits in oak-studded hills along the Rogue River in Jackson County's Mediterranean climate zone. Its historic post office still contains the original bank vault from the early 1900s.
