Gold Beach is a small Oregon coastal town where the Rogue River meets the Pacific. Highway 101 runs right through it, making it a natural stop on coastal road trips. Most visitors arrive via Highway 199 from Grants Pass (about 80 miles inland) or drive the scenic coastal route. The town serves as the launching point for Rogue River jet boat tours and wilderness access. Gold Beach still delivers mail by boat to remote riverside communities 32 miles upriver.
