Glenns Ferry lies along Interstate 84 in south-central Idaho, about 90 minutes southeast of Boise and an hour west of Twin Falls. The town sits where the historic Oregon Trail crossed the Snake River, with Highway 78 branching north toward the Owyhee Mountains. Three Island Crossing State Park preserves the actual wagon ruts carved by pioneer wheels in the 1840s.
