Glendive is an eastern Montana town on I-94 where the Yellowstone River cuts through badlands country. It's a key stop between Billings and Fargo, with Highway 16 connecting north to the oil fields around Sidney. The area serves ranching and energy industries, with decent services for road trippers. Makoshika State Park right outside town has some of the best dinosaur fossil sites in the state.
