Glendale sprawls across the northwest Phoenix metro, about 15 miles from downtown. I-17 runs north-south while Loop 101 circles the western valley, connecting to Scottsdale and Tempe. Grand Avenue angles southeast to Phoenix, and Bell Road heads west to Peoria. Sky Harbor Airport is 20 miles southeast via Loop 101. The city uniquely houses both the Cardinals' State Farm Stadium and the Coyotes' Gila River Arena at the same sports complex.
