Glencoe is a farming community about an hour west of Minneapolis via Highway 212. The city of 5,700 sits on Brownie Lake in McLeod County, with Highway 15 providing north-south connections to Hutchinson and other regional towns. The downtown area retains its small-town character, and the city maintains a popular public beach on Brownie Lake that's busy all summer long.
