Gladwin is a small county seat in central Michigan's Lower Peninsula, home to about 3,100 people. US Highway 61 runs north-south through town, while State Route 18 provides the main east-west connection. The city sits about 25 miles north of Clare and 35 miles from Mount Pleasant via US-127. Gladwin maintains its own general aviation airport, the Zettel Memorial Airport, which serves private aircraft and flight training in Michigan's lake country.
