Glade Spring is a small Virginia town in Washington County, accessible via Exit 35 off Interstate 81. The town sits in Appalachian foothills about 12 miles from Abingdon and 25 miles from Bristol, making it a convenient stop along the major north-south corridor. US Route 11 provides an alternate scenic route through the area. The original natural spring that gave the town its name still flows behind the historic Presbyterian church on Main Street.
