Gladbrook is a farming town of about 1,000 people in central Iowa, reached via Highway 96 off I-35 near Marshalltown. The drive from Des Moines takes an hour north on I-35, while Cedar Falls is 45 minutes away via Highway 20 and I-35. The town sits amid typical Corn Belt farmland with gently rolling fields. Its historic grain elevator towers over the prairie and can be seen for miles.
