Gillett is a small farming town of about 380 people in Arkansas's rice country, roughly 50 miles southeast of Little Rock via I-40 and Highway 165. The area sits in flat delta bottomland and draws hunters during duck season when flooded rice fields attract waterfowl. Highway 165 connects north to Stuttgart and south toward Louisiana, while Highway 79 runs east-west through town.
