Gibbon is a small farming community in south-central Minnesota, 90 miles southwest of Minneapolis via Highway 169 south and Highway 19 west. The town sits along Highway 19's east-west route through Sibley County's corn and soybean country. Its water tower features a distinctive corn cob design painted in agricultural yellow and green.
