Georgetown is a small Indiana city of 3,800 people, just 15 miles from Louisville across the Ohio River. Take I-64 West from Louisville via I-264, or I-65 South from Indianapolis connecting to I-264 West. State Road 62 is the main local route. Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport is about 20 miles northeast. The town is home to the massive Indiana Army Ammunition Plant, a 10,000-acre military facility operating since 1940.
