George is a farming town of about 1,000 people in northwest Iowa's Lyon County, right near the South Dakota and Minnesota borders. US Highway 18 runs directly through town, connecting to Sioux Falls in about 45 minutes and to Spencer and other Iowa communities. State Highway 60 provides north-south access, while Interstate 90 sits 30 miles north for longer trips. The town hosts Little Rock Fun Days each summer, featuring one of Iowa's largest amateur baseball tournaments.
