Gattman is a small community in northeastern Mississippi near the Alabama border, accessible via Highway 25 north-south and State Route 50 east-west. Most visitors arrive from Aberdeen 15 miles south or use Highway 25 to connect with US 278 for longer trips to Tupelo. The Buttahatchee River flows just east of town, creating the floodplain that defines this rural community of 133 residents.
