Gaston is a small town of about 900 people in northeastern North Carolina, near the Virginia border. US Highway 158 runs right through town, connecting it west to Henderson and east toward the coast. Highway 46 links south to I-95 near Weldon for longer trips. The town's distinctive water tower stands out across the surrounding farmland.
