Gassville is a small Ozark river town along the White River, about 10 miles from Mountain Home via Highway 126. The area draws visitors for fishing and boating, with easy access from US 62 and US 412. The town was named after James Gass, who ran a ferry across the White River in the 1800s, and you can still spot the old ferry landing today.
