Garrett is a tiny farming town in east-central Illinois with fewer than 100 residents, located about 20 miles southeast of Decatur via Route 121. The town sits in Douglas County's corn belt, where massive grain elevators tower over the flat prairie landscape. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 72 through Decatur or from Interstate 57 via Arcola to the southeast.
