Garretson is a small South Dakota city 20 miles north of Sioux Falls via Highway 11. Most visitors take I-90 to Exit 406, then follow Highway 11 north through prairie farmland. The town serves as gateway to Split Rock Creek State Park, famous for Devil's Gulch where Jesse James allegedly jumped his horse across a 20-foot chasm in 1876.
