Garland is a tiny Miller County community in southwestern Arkansas, reachable via US Highway 71 from Shreveport or Fort Smith. Most visitors arrive on longer regional trips rather than local drives. The rolling pine country here sits where the Ouachitas meet the coastal plain. Despite having under 200 residents, Garland maintains its own municipal water system.
