Gardner is a Johnson County suburb 30 miles southwest of Kansas City, easily reached via I-35 south to the US-56 exit. The highway provides the main route through town, connecting to regional destinations while local roads serve daily commuters to Olathe and Overland Park. New Century AirCenter Airport sits 15 minutes northeast. The city features the historic Lanesfield School, an 1869 limestone schoolhouse that once educated children along the Santa Fe Trail.
