Garden is a tiny Upper Peninsula community of 154 people on the shores of Lake Michigan, about 45 miles southwest of Escanaba via US-2 and County Road 483. The main draw is nearby Fayette Historic State Park, featuring a preserved 1860s iron smelting town with limestone furnace ruins overlooking Snail Shell Harbor's striking turquoise waters.
