Galva is a small farming town of about 1,000 people in central Kansas, 15 miles northeast of McPherson on Highway 56. Most visitors drive from Wichita via I-135 north to McPherson, then take Highway 56 northeast. The town was founded by Swedish immigrants in the 1870s and still celebrates its heritage with an annual Swedish festival each October.
