Galeton is a small Pennsylvania town of about 800 people in Potter County, surrounded by the forested hills of the Pennsylvania Wilds. US Route 6 runs right through town east-west, connecting to Wellsboro and Coudersport, while Route 144 provides north-south access. Most visitors arrive from I-80 or I-99 via connecting highways through rural Potter County. The town was once home to one of the world's largest sawmills in the early 1900s.
