Galena is a small village about 20 miles north of Columbus via State Route 3, the main road that connects it directly to the capital city. Most visitors arrive from I-270 and US-23, then head north on SR-3 for about 10 miles through Delaware County's farmland. The Ohio State University Airport sits 15 miles southeast for those flying in. The village keeps its original 1809 street grid layout, with many buildings from the mid-1800s stagecoach era still standing today.
