Galatia is a tiny farming community of 20 people in central Kansas, about 15 miles northwest of Great Bend via US 281 and county roads. Most visitors arrive from Great Bend, the regional hub, or drive northwest from Wichita through Great Bend. The community sits amid rolling wheat fields and prairie grassland typical of the Great Plains. Despite its small size, Galatia still maintains its own post office serving the scattered farms in this remote corner of Barton County.
