Gadsden is a tiny farming town in western Tennessee, about 90 miles from Memphis via I-40 and Highway 54 through Brownsville. Highway 54 runs north-south through town, connecting to Highway 76 for east-west travel. The area sits in rolling countryside typical of the Tennessee River valley. The town's old Illinois Central Railroad depot from the early 1900s still stands as a reminder of when trains brought commerce to this rural crossroads.
