Frontier is a tiny farming town of 169 people in eastern North Dakota's Red River Valley. Highway 18 runs right through town, about 25 miles west of Fargo and 20 miles from Interstate 29. The area is classic prairie farmland with rich black soil growing wheat, corn, and soybeans. Despite its small size, Frontier still operates its own post office.
