Friendswood is a Houston suburb about 25 miles southeast of downtown, accessible via Interstate 45 and several state highways. The city sits at the intersection of FM 518 and FM 2351, making it a convenient stop between Houston and the Gulf Coast. Most visitors arrive via I-45 south to the FM 518 exit, while local commuters use Highway 528 to reach NASA and Clear Lake. Founded in 1895 by Quakers, the city still preserves several original buildings from its founding era.
