Fremont is a small farming town in eastern North Carolina, about 15 miles from Goldsboro and an hour southeast of Raleigh. US Highway 117 runs right through town, connecting to Goldsboro and Rocky Mount. The surrounding area features tobacco farms and pine forests typical of the Coastal Plain. Every March, the town hosts its famous Daffodil Festival when thousands of yellow blooms create a spectacular display throughout the community.
