Fremont is a small Michigan city of about 4,500 people located 30 miles northeast of Grand Rapids along the Muskegon River. Take M-37 north from US-131 for the most direct route from Grand Rapids, or use M-82 for east-west travel. The city sits in agricultural country between Grand Rapids and Michigan's lake region. Fremont is home to the original Gerber baby food manufacturing plant, which has been producing millions of jars annually since 1901.
