Freedom is a tiny Plains town of 130 people in northwestern Oklahoma's wheat country. Highway 50 runs right through town, connecting to Alva and the Kansas border, while Highway 8 provides north-south access. Most visitors come from Oklahoma City (150 miles) or Wichita (100 miles). The town hosts an annual Rattlesnake Derby each spring.
