Fredonia is a tiny farming town of 240 people in southeastern Iowa's Louisa County. Highway 61 runs through the area, connecting to Muscatine 15 miles north where you'll find the nearest airport. Most visitors arrive via Highway 218 south from Iowa City or Highway 61 from the Quad Cities area. The town's 1876 one-room schoolhouse still stands as a piece of Iowa's rural education history.
