Frederick, a county seat of 3,400 in southwestern Oklahoma's cotton belt, connects via US 183 north to Hobart and south to Texas, with Highway 5 running east-west to Altus. Most visitors arrive from Interstate 40 via US 183 south or from Lawton via US 62 and Highway 5. The 1907 Tillman County Courthouse with its working clock tower still anchors the historic downtown square.
