Frederica is a small Delaware town of about 1,000 people located along the Murderkill River in Kent County. Take US Route 113 north from Milford or south from Dover to reach the town center, with State Route 12 providing east-west connections. Dover Air Force Base sits 15 miles northeast. The area is surrounded by agricultural fields typical of central Delaware's farming region. Frederica's claim to fame is Barratt's Chapel, built in 1780 and known as the "Cradle of Methodism in America."
