Frankford is a farming town of 500 people in Pike County, about 80 miles northwest of St. Louis via I-70 and Highway 79. The drive takes 90 minutes through Missouri's rolling corn and soybean country. Highway 79 runs north-south through town, while Highway 161 goes east-west to Bowling Green. The town's 1878 one-room schoolhouse still stands as a piece of local history.
