Francis is a small mountain town in Summit County, about 45 miles east of Salt Lake City via I-80 and Highway 40. The main route runs through Kamas, with connections to Park City 20 miles north. It's surrounded by the Wasatch Mountains and sits at 6,200 feet elevation. The town's restored 1920s railroad depot now serves as a museum and welcome center.
