Francesville is a farming town in northwestern Indiana along State Road 16, about 40 miles from Lafayette via US 231 north. Most routes involve SR 16 from either Rensselaer to the west or Winamac to the east, with SR 421 providing north-south access. The area sits in rich agricultural land with corn and soybean fields stretching in all directions. Unlike most of Indiana, Francesville stays on Eastern Standard Time year-round without observing Daylight Saving Time.
